What can I do against lime scale in water?

Lime scale in drinking water often occurs problems in several areas in a household or building.

In kitchen and bathrooms, there are lime spots on faucets and sinks, tiles and other surfaces. In devices like water boiler, coffee machines and washing machines the lime scale deposit and may cause great damage.

There are several possibilities to prevent those problems:

1) Smoothing the lime scale so that it becomes easy to remove it.

That is the aim of systems to physical water treatment, where aqua blue is also part of

Lime scale problems decrease significantly. The scaling, which is beneficial from a health point of view, obtains in the water. Also sensitive devices, e.g. coffee machines, have to be descaled substantially more rarely. Old lime deposits, for example in water pipes, dissolve slowly.

The lime scale remains and can be seen where the water evaporated. Depending on whether if the lime content is high, it can be unsatisfactory despite an improvement through the physical anti lime scale protection. The amount of lime scale in water does not change.

2) Removing the lime scale out of the water.

This is the aim of softening plants. Those are ion exchangers removing the calcifying ions calcium and magnesium out of the water and replacing those with sodium ions.
In the devices are plastic resins, which are saturated with table salt and then rushed with (calcareous) water. There those resins emit sodium ions and storage, instead of the sodium ions, one calcium ion or magnesium ion. If the resins are full of lime scale ions and little / no more sodium is on them, it is regenerated, therefore rushed with concentrated table salt solution, so that the resin is saturated with sodium again.

The lime scale is decreased significantly, mostly to 6-8°dH, so that there is actually less scaling in water.
The lime deposits decline considerably and devices hardly have to be descaled.

The content of sodium in drinking water increases, partially substantially. This has to be taken into consideration from a health point of view and it can result to deposits of salt on glasses and surfaces.
The softening plants have to be installed by an expert into the water supply line and then maintained on a regular basis. The water can become aggressive, so that it attacks pipes and devices which can lead, e.g. to pitting.

How does the anti-lime scale protection work with aqua blue? What are the changes to the lime scale?

Lime scale is in the solution for a longer period and deposits less.

The frequencies of aqua blue change the water molecule’s structure, so that bigger areas of high order occur. Thus water is able to enclose substances (e.g. lime crystals) and ions (e.g. ions of dissolved lime scale) better and to keep them in solution. The result of it is that the lime scales stays longer in abeyance, falls out afterwards and therefore causes less deposits in pipes and devices.

Lower surface tension: Water drains better from surfaces

Through the changes of the water’s structure the surface tension decreases, leading to the fact that water (e.g. on the shower wall or glasses or water taps) drains better and leaves less as well as smaller water drops. That means automatically fewer lime spots which are softer and can be removed easier.

Softer lime crystals are easier to remove

If water of aqua blue evaporates, lime scale remains and creates different crystals other than usual. No hard calcite crystals occur but softer aragonite crystals, which can be proven easily under them microscope.

How does the plant of aqua blue work and where is the lime scale?

The plant of aqua blue is a physical water treatment and works with frequencies, which the device emits permanently. These vibration patterns stimulate water to rearrange its molecules so that it becomes like fresh spring water.

In this high structured water, lime scale is dissolved for a longer period and falls out less. However, the amount of lime scale does not change. It only makes fewer deposits, especially in pipes and devices.

If water evaporates, lime scale remains and can be seen. It is, however, much softer because different crystals occur. No calcite arises, but aragonite crystals.

Is it possible that contaminations in water can occur due to the operation of the plant?

The device of aqua blue is installed outside of the water pipe and does not have direct contact with the water. That contact is not needed since the frequencies can be transferred easily to the water through the pipe.

Thus there are no areas where the water is and no further substances in the water which could function as nutrition for bacteria.

The problem of bacteria in drinking water occurs more often with ion exchange plants or filters which are not replaced regularly. However, it also often results in the pipe system itself if there are unused water pipes where no perfusion is taking place. Of course microbes also live in the deposits in the water pipes.

Therefore it is important to remove these or to prevent it right from the start so that bacteria do not have any habitat.
